Obituary

Geraldine Turner Huffman, 81, of Hamlet, completed her earthly journey on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Mrs. Huffman was born January 12, 1945 in Dillon County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Willie Edward and Lucille Williams Turner. She was a longtime member of Highland Pines Free Will Baptist Church and had attended The ROC Church (Church of God of Prophecy). She worked in the radiology department at Richmond Memorial Hospital for 17 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, beach trips, crocheting and listening to gospel music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Roger Dale Huffman, and sister, Shirley Faye Williams.

Surviving are her daughter, Glenda Jacobs (Tony); grandchildren, Anthony Jacobs (Annsley), and McKenzie Lamb (Caleb); great granddaughter, Courtney Jacobs; brother, Bobby Turner and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 19, 2026 at The ROC Church, 139 Flowers St. Rockingham, with Rev. Stacy Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
