Geraldine Evans Harris

Geraldine Evans Harris, 80 of Winnabow passed away on December 20, 2022.

 Geraldine was born on August 20, 1942 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Joseph Ollie Evans and Elizabeth Delana Burns Evans. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Vivian Shankle, friend Patricia Cox.

Geraldine was a machinist and worked at Clark Equipment Company in Rockingham and G E Aircraft in Castle Hayne. In her younger days she enjoyed camping, fishing and was an avid photographer.

She is survived by her sister, Elaine Ervin; sons, Joseph Carl Turner (Kathryn), Michael Dean Turner; grandchildren, Meagan Delana Turner, Devin Allen Turner Staci Hayes; great-grandchildren, Zachariah Hayes and J. J. Hayes and friends Arlene Writer and Gwen Parker.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 10:45 am – 11:45 am at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. Funeral Service will be at 12:00 Noon in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
