Gary Wayne Metz
Gary Wayne Metz, 71, of Rockingham, passed away February 13, 2018 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital. Gary was born January 6, 1947 in Charleston WV, a son of Paul and Lahoma Gore Metz.
Gary was retired from the US Airforce and an estate caretaker.
Surviving are his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Metz, his step-children, Michael McLendon and Melinda McLendon; step-grandchildren, Austin Webster, Madison Knight, Grace Knight, Garrett Knight, Ben McLendon, Roger McLendon; and sister, Ann Wiseman.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Gilmer officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Carter Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
