Fred A Fletcher

Fred Alvin Fletcher, 64, of Ellerbe, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Fred was born October 23, 1961 at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, the son of the late Marvin Joe and Janell Ruth Edwards Fletcher. He graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He retired from Albemarle Correctional Institute as a Captain.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jean Covington Fletcher; sons, Michael Fletcher (Taylor) and Aaron Richardson (Melissa); grandchildren, Drew Richardson, Amelia Richardson and Madilynn Fletcher and his sister Martha Fletcher.

Services will be held privately at a later date.
