Faye Swails Webb Boger

Faye Swails Webb Boger, age 96, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Richmond Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Hamlet, NC, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 29, 1929, in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Claude Cecil Swails and Elma Anderson Swails.

Faye was a wonderful and beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. The most important part of her life was her family. She loved gospel music and in her earlier years traveled with her brothers and close friend Myrtle Lambert, singing in a group called The Gospel Melody Singers. She was owner and operator of Faye’s Beauty Salon until retirement. Faye instilled in her family the importance of God, kindness and good work ethics. She was an excellent cook.

Faye was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-nine blissful years of marriage, Bobby Webb; her second husband, George Boger, siblings Cecil Swails, Roy Swails, Retha (Shorty) Ratliff.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brenda Webb Hendrix, Dianne Webb Jones (J.B.), grandchildren Brad Taylor, Cam Taylor (Jenny), Tara Taylor (Wayne), Jay Jones (Kristin), Byron Jones (Kathryn), great grandchildren, Ally Taylor, Riley Taylor, Sawyer Taylor, Chloe Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Easton Smith, Zayden Blackwell, Malakai Bickel, Braden Jones, Aubree Jones and Kaylee Jones. Brothers Jerry Swails (Janice), Horace Swails, Donnie Swails, Bill Swails (Johnnie) and sister Ruth Black (William).

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 1:15-2:15 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham, followed by a home-going service at 2:30 P.M. Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park.
