Edna Joyce Todd Parker, 91 of Rockingham passed away peacefully on Thursday April 9, 2026 at Richmond County Hospice Haven, surrounded by her family.

Born on January 23, 1935 in Richmond County to the late Olen Quincy and Frances Purvis Todd. Following high school, she worked with Abbott Laboratories in Laurinburg until her retirement. Edna loved church and Jesus, throughout the years she was a choir member and Sunday school teacher. Above all, she strived to bring people to know the Lord. She was a true soul winner.

Surviving are her two daughters Sherry Caudle and husband Robby Caudle Jr. of Hamlet, Donna Simmons and husband Taft Simmons of Johnson City, TN and grandchildren Crystal Caudle of Hamlet, Tara Roberson (Brady) of Johnson City, TN, Trey Simmons of Nashville, TN and great granddaughter Charlotte Roberson.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Cecil Wallace Parker and siblings Hubert Todd, L. D. Todd, Ruby McPherson and Faye Floyd.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday April 12, 2026 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Pastor Robby Caudle, Jr. officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
