Doris Kimberly Campbell

Doris Kimberly Grooms Campbell 60, of Rockingham NC, passed away Sunday, January 9th 2022 at First Health Reid Heart Center in Pinehurst NC. She was born on August 18th 1961 in Richmond County. A daughter of Jesse Willard Grooms Sr and Audrey Ester Moss Grooms. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a former corrections officer with the NC Dept of Public Safety. She is survived by her children, Sam Campbell of Mill Springs, Nikki Campbell (Norman) of Rockingham, Shelly Campbell of Rockingham, Heather Campbell (Josh) of Rockingham, sister, Peggy Airington of Rockingham, 14 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Gary Campbell, her mother in law, Ethel R Campbell, sister, Myrtha Witchard, and brothers, Jesse Willard Grooms Jr and William Ross Grooms. Memorial services will be held at a later date due to covid-19 concerns.
