Donald "Donnie" Dwight Kranz

Donald Dwight “Donnie” Kranz, Jr., 70, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026 at PruittHealth in Rockingham.

Donnie was born July 11, 1956 in Richmond County, NC, a son of the late Donald and Mildred Louise Elvis Kranz. He had retired from Sandhurst/ L’Eggs Hosiery. He enjoyed fishing, playing scratch offs and his cats. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Idol and Beverly Ezzell.

Surviving are his brother, William Kranz ( Karen) and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. Graveside services will be held privately at Richmond County Memorial Park.
