Don was a fun-loving spirit, whose kindness and genuine care for those around him created lasting memories for family and friends. His legacy will live on through his son, Don McCoy Mabe, Jr. He is also survived by his loving siblings: brother John Mabe, and sisters Dorthy Willard, Doris Greene, and Linda Wilson. Each of them holds a piece of Don in their hearts, forever grateful for the memories and love they shared.

Don was preceded in death by a loving family that included his father, Terry Leonard Mabe, and mother, Clarice Vera Bennett Mabe. His son Richard Mabe. He is also reunited with his brothers Clyde, Wilbert, Jimmy, and L.T. Mabe, sister Lois Mabe Thompson Hayes, who, along with family and friends, will hold his memory close as they navigate a world without his bright spirit.

A Celebration Of Don's Life will be held at a later date.
