Delores Cannon Long

Delores Cannon Long, 82, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Richmond County Hospice Haven. 

Mrs. Long was born April 28, 1942 in Richmond County, NC, the daughter of the late Dowie M. and Mary Millen Cannon. She was a lifelong member of Highland Acres Church of God where she had served as clerk and secretary. She worked for many years with Home Security Life Insurance Company and following her retirement began a second career with H&R Block where she worked for over 20 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Long. 

Surviving are her children, Stacey, Ken, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Eli, Trey, Lucy, Brittany, and great grandchildren, Nathan, Henry and Sadie. 

Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, September 14,2024 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Gary Payne officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
