Deborah Harris Rivers

Deborah Ruth Harris Rivers, 64, of Rockingham departed this life on Thursday, August 26, 2021.

Mrs. Rivers was born October 27, 1956 in Union County, a daughter of the late Robert Elmer Harris and Regis Duncan Harris Hammonds. She attended Union County Schools and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her children, Roy Robert Locklear (Amy), Joshua Fearal Locklear, Tonya Kay Burgess (Michael); grandchildren, Tyler Locklear, Paige Locklear, Coray Griffin, Brittany Totton, Chasity Totton, Pamela Green, Joshua Locklear, Jr., Ginsey Locklear, Hailey Locklear and Brianna Locklear; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Thomas G. Harris; sisters, Cynthia H. Stegall, Pamela H. Wofford, Daphne H. Hall: step siblings, Larry F. Price, Arnold D. Price, Diane P. Richardson and former Husband and care giver, Roy Locklear.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, September 10, 2021 in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends following the service.
