David "Ray" McKay, Jr.

David “Ray” McKay, Jr., 49, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019, at PruittHealth of Rockingham. David was born in Greenville, NC, on October 22, 1970, a son of the late David Ray McKay, Sr. and Joann Brady Canipe of Rockingham, who survives. He had been a resident of Mallard Lane Center for a number of years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, Carlos David Canipe, and a step-brother, Victor Canipe. Others preceding him in death were his grandparents, James and Johnsie Brady and Dr. and Mrs. M. Ray McKay.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 30, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Richmond County Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Joe Wilkes, Jr. and Rev. Gerald Goins. Entombment will follow.
