Daren Steven Grainger

Daren Steven Grainger, passed away on February 13. 2024, at the age of 35 in Hamlet, NC. He was born on July 26, 1988, in Richmond County. Daren was a beloved son, father, and partner who will be deeply missed by his family and numerous friends Daren is survived by his mother. Patrica Renee Lancaster (Steven Hodges), his daughter Elaina Grainger (Andrew Swinney), and his life-long love, Ashley Norton. He was also cherished by his maternal grandmother, Patrica "Patti" Hodges, his sisters Leanna Woolsey (David) and Jessica Gratia (Brycen), his brother Kenneth Lancaster (Mary Anna), and his aunt Kelly Carter (Donald Wayne). Daren leaves behind uncles James Hodges (Janet) and Shoan Hodges, as well as his nephews Rio, Kylo, Arlie, Blaine, Jaxon, Brennan, KJ, Kane, and Kash. He also leaves behind a dear cousin Amanda Grainger. Daren was preceded in death by his father, Steven Patrick Grainger, and his paternal grandparents. Larry Edward and Peggy Clarke Grainger, as well as his maternal grandfather, James Everette Hodges with whom he shared a deep bond. A celebration of Daren's life will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, at 11 am at the home of his Aunt and Uncle. This private service is reserved for family and close friends, and the family will personally reach out to those they would like to attend. Daren Steven Grainger will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, great love of animals, his love for his family and friends, and the positive impact he had on the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
