Danny Terry

Daniel “Danny” Ray Terry, 64, of Rockingham, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated member of his community, passed away on May 19, 2026, at FirstHealth Hospice House in West End, North Carolina. Born on June 16, 1961, in Richmond County, NC, Danny led a life marked by commitment, faith, and family.

A proud graduate of Richmond Senior High School, Class of 1979, Danny devoted 40 years to his career, retiring as Warehouse Manager from Total Lubricant. His professional life was characterized by diligence and leadership, earning respect from colleagues and friends alike. Danny also enjoyed working security with the Rockingham Dragway, Rockingham Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Danny’s devotion extended beyond his career into his church and community. As a member of Rourk Presbyterian Church, he faithfully served as a deacon, contributing to the spiritual life and fellowship of the congregation. He enjoyed his involvement with the Price and Richardson Hunt Club, where he shared camaraderie and his passion for the outdoors. He served on the board of directors of the hunting club and was recently made a life member. Among his greatest joys was relaxing in his pool, and softball, whether playing, watching or traveling with his daughters to their games and tournaments, supporting them with pride and enthusiasm.

Family was the cornerstone of Danny’s life. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 41 years, Vicky Puckett Terry; daughters Ashley Terry Hall (Nic) and Amanda Terry DeBerry (Matt), and cherished grandchildren Lelia DeBerry, Harper Watson, and Sage DeBerry. His warm presence and unwavering support will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Danny was predeceased by his parents, Leon Leonard and Patricia Faye Currie Terry, and his brother Randy Terry.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m., both at the Rourk Presbyterian Church, located at 394 Gibson Nursery Road, Ellerbe, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

His legacy is one of steadfast faith, dedication to family, and a life well-lived. Danny’s memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know him.
