Clyde "Steve" Stephen Bittle

Clyde Stephen “Steve” Bittle, 69, of Rockingham, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Richmond Campus in Rockingham.

Mr. Bittle was born February 17, 1952, in Richmond County, a son of the late Dewey Fredrick and Janie Rae Callahan Bittle. He retired from Burlington Industries and attended Community Church. He was a loving husband, a loving and caring father to his children, respected friend and always present for his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Bittle, Joey Bittle and Mickey Bittle.

Surviving are his wife, Lesha Bittle; children, Tammy Bittle Britt and Tyler Shane Bittle; grandchildren, Cameron Dawn Honeycutt, Patrick Dell Ott, Hannah Bennett, Braden Bennett, Haiven Bennett; great grandchildren, Eric Hicks, Camden Hicks, Landon Harris, Bradley Hoffman, Ezra Hoffman and siblings, Linda Horne (Mickey), Roger Bittle (Katrina), Larry Bittle and Deborah Estridge (Steve).

Funeral services will be  private. 

The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family has requested those in attendance for the visitation and funeral service to please wear a face covering and be mindful of social distancing.
