Clyde Leonard Mabe

Clyde Leonard Mabe 92 of Charlotte, NC, passed away September 20, 2018 at Aldersgate. Clyde was born January 12, 1926 in Stokes County, NC a son of the late Terry and Clarice Bennett Mabe. Clyde was a retired employee of the dairy industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sons, David Lee Mabe and Toby Mabe, his grandchildren, Matthew Mabe, Sara and Jerry Mabe; his brothers, L. T. Mabe, Wilbert Mabe, and Jimmy Mabe.

Surviving are his wife of 75 years, Ruth Avis Tuttle Mabe; son , Larry A. Mabe and daughter-in-law Linda E. Mabe; a daughter-in-law, Delorse Williams Mabe; grandchildren, Shannon M. Jordan, Toby A. Mabe; great-grandchildren Keith Jordan, Amanda Jordan, Rebekah Mabe; great-great grandchildren Gracie Jordan, Johnny Broughton, and Valerie Broughton; brothers, Don Mabe, and John Mabe; his sisters, Dot Willard, Lois Hayes, Doris Greene and Linda Wilson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe. Burial will follow in the Ellerbe Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2: 00 pm at the funeral home.
