Carl Kenneth Greer

Carl Kenneth Greer, 93, of Ellerbe, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Kenneth was born January 5, 1928 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, a son of the late Carl Houston and Delphia Evelene Ivanes Greer. He served his country in the US Navy for 10 ½ years and retired from the US Air Force after 12 years of service. He was a member of Ellerbe Fellowship Baptist Church where he was a faithful member and Sunday School teacher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Murrey Greer, and siblings, Doris Cates, Betty Thompson, Dwight Greer and Elizabeth Shuffield.

Surviving are his children, Gunner Greer, Paula Greer, Carlton Greer, Perry Greer and Candace Jacobson, nine grandchildren and sisters, Mayme Greer, Charlotte Carriker and Charlene Fletcher.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life from 2 to 4 pm Saturday, April 17, 2021  at the Carriker home. Please keep social distancing in mind and wear a face covering. Those attending are welcome to bring a lawn chair.
