Brenda Williams Diggs

Brenda Williams Diggs, 80, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.

Mrs. Diggs was born November 15, 1941 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late George and Catherine Faye Beane Williams. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, James Talmadge Diggs; son James Talmadge Diggs, Jr. (Luanne); grandchildren, Taylor McDonald (Chris), Cody Diggs, Nicole Goodwin (Jason) and Joel Layton (Kate); great grandchildren, Layton, Charlie, Abby Grace and Caroline; sisters, Madelyn Haywood and Kay Williams; and brothers, Mitchell Lampley and Steve Lampley.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm Monday, November 22, 2021 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. ­­­Joe. B. Wilkes, Jr. officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
