Auley Columbus Crouch, Jr.

Auley Columbus Crouch, Jr., 63, a dedicated family man and retired corrections officer, passed away peacefully at his home on May 22, 2025. Born on June 26, 1961, in Richmond County, North Carolina, he was a beloved figure whose life touched many.

Auley had a distinguished career with the South Carolina Department of Corrections, where he served with honor and commitment. His dedication to his work was reflected in the respect he garnered from colleagues and community members alike.

Auley's proudest accomplishments were indeed his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, LaDonna Jones Crouch, and their two daughters, Kerrie Lynch (Justin) and Kenisha Brigman (David, Jr.). He was a cherished grandfather to Jacob, Owen, and Elena Lynch, bringing joy and love into their lives. Auley was also deeply loved by his mother, Virginia Strickland Crouch, and shared a special bond with his brothers, Darrell Crouch and Jeffrey Crouch (Norma).

Auley will be remembered for his warm heart and the love he cultivated within his family. He had attended of Outreach for Jesus, embodying values of community and service, which were central to his life's work.

A visitation will be held at Carter Funeral Homes in Rockingham, North Carolina, on May 24, 2025, from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM,conducted by Pastor Marvin Taylor and Pastor Steve Gilmer. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.  Family and friends are invited to gather and share their memories of Auley during this time of remembrance.

He is preceded in death by his father, Auley Columbus Crouch, and is remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love and dedication to his family will continue to shine in the hearts of those he left behind.
