Ann Webb

Annie Ruth “Ann” Smith Webb of Rockingham passed away at her home Sunday, December 20, 2020, at the age of 92. Ann was born in Richmond County December 4, 1928, a daughter of the late Claude Dowd Smith and Blanche Reynolds Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Phillip Webb, Sr., and her brothers, Elton Dowd Smith and Robert Wayne “Bobby” Smith.

She is survived by her son, Carl Phillip Webb, Jr. (Jaye) of Annandale, VA; granddaughters Patricia Anne Webb (Stephen Banghart) of Germantown, MD, and Sandra Taylor Webb of McLean, VA; and one sister, Judy McIntyre (Frank) of Candor, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Ann S. Webb to the Sound Equipment Fund at the First United Methodist Church of Rockingham, 410 East Washington Street, Rockingham, NC 28379.

Due to the COVID pandemic, the family will be holding a private graveside service to be conducted by Rev. Allen Bingham of the First United Methodist Church.
