Alvaro Martinez-Mendez

Alvaro Martinez-Mendez, 18, died as a result of a tragic work-related accident Monday, November 30, 2020, in Anson County. He was born January 9, 2002, in Cumberland County, NC, and was a 2020 graduate of Richmond Senior High School. He was employed by Unicon, Inc.

He is survived by his father, Alvaro Martinez-Mendez of the home; one brother, Gerado Jimenez-Mendez and wife, Claudia Flores; two sisters, Alicia Martinez-Mendez and Angelica Martinez-Mendez; and additional family and friends.

Alvaro’s body will be returned to the home at 109 Nicole Lane, Rockingham, on Saturday, December 5, to lie in state from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM at which time he will be taken for burial in Stelley's Tabernacle Church Cemetery located at 112 Stelleys Tabernacle Church Road, Rockingham, NC 28379.
