Aldena Hardister

Mrs. Rebecca Aldena Dennis Hardister, 81, of Aberdeen and formerly of Exway, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was born June 3, 1925 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Anna Hunsucker and William Deaton Dennis. Mrs. Hardister was an active member of Concord United Methodist Church. She was retired with United Mills in Mt. Gilead. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 7th at Concord United Methodist Church in Ellerbe with Rev. Mary Mooney officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are a daughter, Aldena Hardister Frye of Aberdeen; one grandchild; and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom C. Hardister in July, 2005. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
