Bennie Robbins Mr. Bennie Covington Robbins, 73, of 1015 Walnut Lane Rockingham died Thursday February 22, 2007 at his home. He was born March 27, 1933 in Richmond County a son of the late Bennie Covington and Pearline Dean Robbins. He was also preceded in death by two brothers John and Paul Robbins. He had retired from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher and also worked at Clark Equipment. He served his country in the U.S Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Katie Jordan Robbins one son Duane Robbins of Rockingham and two daughters Denise Pittman of Rockingham and Diane Freeman of Illinois, one sister Pauline Rees of Rockingham, 5 Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday at Carter Funeral Home of Rockingham from 5:00-7:00pm.
