Mrs. Peggy Joyce Player Allen, 65, of 210 Butler Drive., Hoffman died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital. She was born July 14, 1941 in Richmond Co., a daughter of the late Myrtle Wiggins Billingsly Player and Henry Player. Mrs. Allen was retired as a correctional officer. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, February 10th at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Eric Spieker officiating. Surviving are her husband, Ronnie Allen of the home; sons, Pete Britt of Rockingham and Mark Britt of Hamlet; daughters, Donna Wright of Ellerbe, Veronica Lowe of Bonair, GA, and Malia Rothfuss of Clarendon; brother, Ronnie Player of Rockingham; sisters, Frances Smith and Gloria Chipps, both of Pine Bluff; and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Player. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times and following the service at the Wright home, 192 Country Lane, Ellerbe.
