Verla Mae Miller

Verla Mae Miller, 75, of 143 Hannah Pickett Ave. Rockingham, died Monday, February 05, 2007 at her home. Ms. Miller was born December 5, 1931 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Boyd and Monnie Frye Miller. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her companion of 47 years Chester Johnson and a son Lindsey “Binky” Miller. Surviving are daughters, Linda Maldonado of Rockingham, Joanne Tilley of Rockingham, a brother, Leonard Miller of Rockingham, sisters, Sarah Whitehead of Spring Lake, Elaine Burgess of Jefferson, Thelma Lajovich of Cameron, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy West officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home
