Ralph Douglas Darnell

Ralph Douglas Darnell, 56, of 529 Crawford Rd., Ellerbe, died Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mr. Darnell was born April 19, 1950 in Richmond County a son of the late Bausie Fountain and Myrtie Johnson Darnell. He had been employed by Clark Equipment Company and Perdue Farms. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Odom Darnell of the home, son, Ralph Douglas Darnell, Jr of Ellerbe, brothers, William C. Darnell of Rockingham, Howell Darnell and B.F. Darnell, Jr. both of Ellerbe, sisters, Bobbie Covington of Norman, Norma Sue Bright of Fayetteville and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday at Carter Funeral Home Ellerbe Chapel with Rev. Royce Honeycutt and Rev. Lloyd Grant, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family wills see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home of his brother B.F. , 117 Hudson Dr. Ellerbe.
