Georgia Gertrude Rozzell

Georgia Gertrude Neal Rozzell, 90, formerly of Holiday Village, died Friday, June 23, 2006 at Rockingham Manor in Rockingham. Mrs. Rozell was born May 29, 1916 in McDowell Co., W.Va. a daughter of the late Samuel James and Mary Bean Neal. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and while a resident of West Virginia was cafeteria manager at Iaeger High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings R. Rozzell, a son, Franklin D. Rozzell, a daughter, Ruth Braddock, a granddaughter, Rachel Durden, and a great grandson, Cody Heard. Surviving are her sons, J. Ray,Rozzell, Jr of Rossville, GA, John D. Rozzel of Lincoln, NE, daughter, Jean Morgan of Hamlet , 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, A service to celebrate Mrs. Rozzells life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at Mrs. Morgan’s home, 321 Charlotte St. Apt C1 Hamlet, NC 28345.
