Carl Jackson Anderson

Carl Jackson Anderson, 81 of Rockingham, was welcomed into the loving arms of God on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Mr. Anderson was a1955 graduate of Rockingham High School and he retired from CSX Railroad in 1998. He was a member of the First United Methdoist Church, where he was active in the Ledbetter Mens Bible Class and the Merry Makers group until his health began to fail. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, Dalton E. and Glennie F. Anderson; two brothers, Norman and Earl Anderson; and his beloved wife of 55 years, Anne M. Anderson. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Martha Anderson of Rockingham; two grandchildren and their spouses, Leanne and Patrick Jurczyk of Rockingham and Matthew and Sarah Anderson of Anderson, SC; two great grandsons, Michael and Kason Jurczyk; a brother Ted J. Anderson of Rockingham; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Martin and Jean Martin of Rockingham; an aunt, Lucy Hyatt of Rock Hill, SC; and his extended family of loving caregivers, Linda Newton, Barbara Cook, Mary Atkinson, and Joann Shepard. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, Rockingham. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Tony & Martha Anderson on County Home Rd, Rockingham.
