Roger James Green

Roger James Green, 65, of Ellerbe, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mr. Green was born July 7, 1952 in Richmond County, a son of the late Lonnie James and Agnes Ola Moore Green. He had taught Middle School Math and Science and retired from the US Postal Service. Surviving are his wife, Gay McQueen Green of the home; children, Amy G. Jones (Caison) of Jefferson, NC, Matthew Green (Heather) of Ellerbe; grandchildren, Wil McDonald, Bryson Green, Thomas Jones, Olivia Jones, Charlotte Jones and Ella Jones and a sister, Darlene Price of Old Hickory, TN. A service to celebrate Roger’s life will be at 3pm Friday at Concord United Methodist Church, 1131 Concord Church Rd., Ellerbe, NC with Pastor Caison Jones officiating.
