Agnes McCormick Treece Whittington

Agnes Adaline McCormick Treece Whittington, 91, of Ellerbe passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg. Mrs. Whittington was born November 24, 1925 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late John W. and Laura Jane Talbert McCormick. She had attended Ellerbe First Presbyterian Church and had farmed most of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Philas Treece and William Whittington, brothers, Bill, Herbert, Marion, Frank and Doran McCormick and sisters, Lucille Faircloth and Peggy Webb. Surviving are brothers, Max McCormick, Robert McCormick, John McCormick, Joe McCormick, Jerry McCormick and sister Louise Lucas. Funeral services will be at 2pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. James Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
