Billy Weldon Rainwater, Jr

Billy Weldon Rainwater, Jr., 65, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at his home. Mr. Rainwater was born December 15, 1951 in Richmond County, a son of the late Billy Weldon and Lucy Mae Grice Rainwater. He had retired as a salesman with R. W. Goodman Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Zack W. Rainwater. Surviving are his sons, Robbie Rainwater and Brad Rainwater; sisters, Betty Faye Yates of Cheraw, Charlotte Mitchell of Fairmont, Vivian Freeman (Billy) and Judy Walters (Eddie), both of Rockingham and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Pastor Doug Anderson officiating. The family will see friends following the service.
