Peggy Martin Morrow

Peggy Martin Morrow, 82, of Rockingham passed away at Kingswood Nursing Center on June 19, 2017. Peggy was born March 13, 1935 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late John Marion and Ethel Collins Martin. She was a member of McDonald Baptist Church and a cashier for Lowes Home Improvement for 23 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus M. Morrow, son, Randy Morrow, son-in-law Jimmy Haigler, brother, Dudley Martin, sisters, Estelle Taylor, Maxine Ussery and Juanita McQueen. Surviving are children, Ginger McLain (Lindie) of Rockingham, Teresa Yates (Charles) of Rockingham, Rhonda Hurst (Robert) of Rockingham; grandchildren, James R. Bell, Benjamin Hurst (Kristen) and Michael Hurst, all of Rockingham Miranda Haigler Roberts (Andy) of Raeford, step grandchildren, Jennifer Yates Drumwright (Michael) of Rockingham, Ashley Yates Jenkins (Justin) of Rockingham and great-grandchildren, Chandler Hurst, Londyn Hurst, Erin Drumwright, Chase Drumwright, Colt Jenkins, and Jackson Jenkins. Funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday at McDonald Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Perry officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 – 9 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
