Helen Carlton

Helen Gertrude Carlton, 82, of Rockingham, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family. Helen was born on July 26, 1934 in Hartsville, SC a daughter of the late Preston and Alma Stratton Dority. Surviving are her children, Linda Freeman, Eugene Milton Player, Jr., Donnie Wayne Player, Deborah Louise Williams, Dorothy Helen Shirley, Katherine Irene Brown, and Timothy Woodrow Player. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren and numerous other family members. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday at New Life Church with Rev. Gary Richardson. The family will receive friends following the service.
