Shirley Brock Montgomery

Shirley Brock Boan Montgomery, 74, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Mrs. Montgomery was born December 19, 1942 in Chesterfield County, SC, a daughter of the late Ruby Brock Garris. She was a member of First Assembly of God, where she was Sunday School manager and had retired as an apartment manager in public housing. Surviving are her husband, Jimmy Montgomery of the home; son Zane Montgomery of Rockingham; 5 grandchildren; brother, Roger Brock of Cheraw and step daughter, Joy Williams of Bennettsville, SC. Funeral services will be at 2pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Gene Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends from 12:45 to 1:45 pm Saturday at the funeral home and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 US Hwy 1 N, Rockingham, NC 28379.
