Susan Catherine Gore

Susan Catherine Gore, 55, formerly of Rockingham, passed away February 12, 2017 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Susan was born June 10, 1961 in Baltimore, MD a daughter of the late, Horace Leon and Jean Thurston Gore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Garland Gore and Donnie Thurston. Surviving are: sons, Christopher M. Gore, Jeremy P. Malpass; a daughter Amber Malpass; brothers, Horace L. Gore, Jr., Warren B. Gore; sisters, Lynn Gore, Gloria Gore, Crystal Macker; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces, nephews and family members. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham, NC, with Pastor Joe B. Wilkes, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Northam Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:45 – 12:45 at the funeral home, prior to the service.
