Eva Shelton McRae

Mrs. Eva Shelton McRae, 99, of 249 Saron Church Road, Ellerbe, died Sunday , March 26, 2006 at her home. Mrs. McRae was born October 24, 1906 in Stokes County, a daughter of the late John and Flora Bondurant Shelton. She was a homemaker and a member of Saron Baptist Church since the early 1930’s. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Donald McRae on May 23, 1991. Survivng are her son, Lawrence McRae of Charlotte, a daughter, Earline Blake of the home, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Saron Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Stanford officiating. Interment will follow in Chappell Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:30 – 8:30 PM Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home on Saron Church Road.
