Sarah Entwistle McKenzie

Mrs. Sarah Entwistle McKenzie, 81, of 1339 Carolina Dr., Rockingham died Monday, February 27, 2006 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital. She was born December 8, 1924 in Richmond, VA, a daughter of the late Roberta West and George Parker Entwistle, Jr. Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rockingham. She attended Richmond Professional Institute in Richmond. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, March 2nd at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Nanney and Rev. Leonard Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. Surviving are; her husband, James William McKenzie of the home; children, Mary McKenzie Stogner and husband Wayne of Rockingham, James William McKenzie, Jr. of Cary, John Robert McKenzie of Ellerbe, and Sally McKenzie Wright and husband Chuck of Rockingham; grandchildren, John McKenzie Stogner, Sarah Louise Stogner, David , Jim Wright, Will Wright, and Chuckie Wright. Mrs. McKenzie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Caroline Wright in 1989 and a sister, Hannah The family will receive friends Wednesday at the home on Carolina Dr., Rockingham from 1 to 8 pm.
