Nellie Lee Stubbs

Mrs. Nellie Lee Haire Stubbs, 67, of Asheboro died Friday, February 17, 2006 at Randolph Memorial Hospital. She was born January 6, 1939 in Moore County, a daughter of the late Lelia Haire and Wesley Lee Tart. Mrs. Stubbs was retired from textile industry. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 20th at White’s Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bryant Steen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are; a son, Terry Haire and wife Loretta of Asheboro; a daughter, Cynthia Kay Haire Cottingham and fiancé Alex Prince Bullard of Hamlet; a brother, Harry Tart of Asheboro; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Stubbs was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Marie Barber, and a son, Darrell Leverne Haire, two brothers, Bill and Jack Tart, and a sister, Peggy Tart. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at 1051 Boyd Lake Rd., Hamlet.
