Michael L. Parker

Michael L. Parker, 59, of 123 Pine Lane Rockingham, died Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Mike was born October 13, 1946 in Richmond County, a son of Frances Maddry Parker and the late James M. Parker. He had served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era, was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Architectural Woodworking Institute. He was owner and President of Carolina Millwork of Rockingham, Inc. Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Dodd Parker of the home, son and daughter-in-law, Seth and Angie Parker of Rockingham, daughter and son-in-law, Mendy and Mike Williams of Bolivia, grandchildren, Alan and Karen Williams, Zach, Haley and Laney Parker, his mother, Frances M. Parker of Rockingham, and a brother, Jim Parker of Tampa FL. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday from the graveside in Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at the home on Pine Lane.
