William Bud Rainwater

William Bud Rainwater, 71, of Holiday Village , Rockingham, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet. Mr. Rainwater was born February 22, 1937 in Richmond County, a son of the late Evander and Cardella Sweatt Rainwater. He had been employed as a driver with Dewitt Trucking. Surviving are his sister, Ellen Garrison of Rockingham and a brother, Burnie Rainwater of Cheraw, SC. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Frank McQuage officiating. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the Garrison home, 105 Bay St. Rockingham.
