Charles Bennett Covington

Charles Bennett Covington, 58, of Raleigh, passed away Saturday, May 31,2014 at Heartfield’s of Cary. Charles was born September 15, 1955 in Richmond County, a son of John David Covington and Metta Elizabeth Moore Covington Hull. He was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School and Richmond Technical Institute and was an Electrical Designer. Surviving are his parents, David Covington and wife Elsie of Ellerbe, Metta Hull and husband Elbert of Rockingham; and brothers, John Moore Covington and partner Les Harrell of Charlotte, Neil Bruce Covington and wife Jean of Raleigh. There will be a gathering of family and friends from Noon until 2 pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe. Immediately following the service, there will be a scattering service held at the family farm. Memorials may be made to Transitions Life Care, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh,NC 27607.
