Mr. Artis Franklin McDuffie, 78 died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Rockingham Manor. He was born July 21, 1929 in Richmond County a son of the late Victor and Lillie Hancock McDuffie. He worked in textiles as a doffer. A Graveside service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Northam Cemetery with Rev Tommy West officiating. He is survived by his wife Mary McGee McDuffie of the home, 2 step-sons Kenneth Chavis of Rockingham and Roger Chavis of Raeford. One sister Ruby Elvis of Rockingham.
