Jerry Wayne McDonald

Jerry Wayne McDonald, 58, of 107 Jayson St. Rockingham, died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mr. McDonald was born March 13, 1949 in Richmond County, a son of the late Tom and Frances Hoffman McDonald. He was a member of Cordova United Methodist Church where he served as president of the United Methodist Men and was a graduate of Rockingham High School. He has been employed with Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company for 28 years where he was currently warehouse manager. His son, Jerry McDonald preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Bea Workman McDonald of the home, sons Jimmy McDonald and wife Mary, Joey McDonald all of Rockingham, grandchildren, Christopher and Cameron McDonald, a brother, John McDonald of Rockingham and a sister, Yvonne Pileggi of Chapel Hill. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday at Cordova United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Milford Oxendine officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Jayson St. Memorials may be made to Cordova United Methodist Church, PO Box 279 Cordova, NC 28330.
