Harry "Stick" Hamilton

Harry “Stick” Hamilton, 52, of Rockingham, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at his home. Mr. Hamilton was born October 27, 1958 in Richmond County, a son of Velva Grant Hamilton and Cliff Hamilton. He had been employed as a carpet and tile layer. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Smith and brothers, Steve and Bucky Hamilton. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Guinn Hamilton of the home; mother, Velva G. Hamilton of Rockingham; brothers, Rick Hamilton of Hamlet, Pete Hamilton of Jamestown; and a sister, Kathy Phillips of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at his mothers home.
