John Davis Dabbs

Mr. John Davis "Jack" Dabbs 76, of 154 Old 74 Highway Rockingham died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. He was born November 17, 1930 in Anson County, a son of the late Lonnie and Annie Dabbs. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and had retired from Carolina Mill Works in Rockingham as a carpenter. He is survived by his wife Martha Smith Dabbs of the home, two daughters Holeigh Dabbs of Rockingham and Heather Nordberg and husband Mark of Apex and four grandchildren Matthew, Hunter, Madison, and Ethan Nordberg, one brother Warren Dabbs of Pinebluff and one sister Arlene Davis of Southern Pines. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Richmond Memorial Park with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM Thursday at Carter Funeral Home of Rockingham. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Sweet Haven Church P.O. Box 125 Rockingham N.C 28380.
