Elaine Hill Gray

Elaine Hill Gray, 67, of Ellerbe, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Mrs. Gray was born February 7, 1950 in Anson County, NC, a daughter of the late George Walter “GW” Hill, Jr. and Peggy Anne Parsons Meymandi. She was a member of Saron Baptist Church and had worked as an office manager in the medical and legal fields. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Morris Gray of the home; children, Kimberly Anne Covington of Ellerbe, James Thomas Covington, III of Moore County, Patrick Michael Holt (Lisa) of Greensboro; 8 grandchildren; brother, Charles Michael Hill of Ellerbe and step sons, Joey Gray (Robin) and Mike Gray (Jenny) all of Jamestown, NC. Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday at Saron Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Luck officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery with Rev. Bill Kearse officiating. The family will see friends from 6 – 8 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home.
