Cyrus Clifton Cleaver

Mr. Cyrus Clifton Cleaver “Boe”, 88, beloved Father and Grandfather went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at his home. Mr. Cleaver was under the wonderful loving care of the Scotland County Hospice. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Martha Hewitt Cleaver one sister Helen Neff, one brother Ike Cleaver and one grandchild Lavaughn. Boe was born January 25, 1924 in Moore County a son of the late Charlie and Myrtle Hausar Cleaver. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a Time Study Engineer with Sandhurst Mills. Surviving are his son Charlie Cleaver and wife Claudia of Rockingham and his daughter Linda Raines of Rockingham, Brother Sam Cleaver of Boston, Mass. and sister Betty Daniels of Sea Level, N.C., grandchildren Charlene Brigman and husband Winford, Sandy Butler and husband Mike, Great grandchildren Holli Lewis, Mandi Helton, Shawn Butler, Joe Butler, great great grandchildren Elena Lewis, Matthew Cleaver and Cataleya Gomez. Funeral services will be held Thursday May 17, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Harris Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:45-3:45 P.M. prior to the service and at other times at the home.
